A studio built around one conviction: bad data costs more than a delayed start
Collective Ltd was founded in Galați in 2019 by a team of three analysts who had spent the previous four years inside digital marketing agencies watching the same failure repeat: a client's SEO budget would be spent on content and links before anyone had looked hard at the site's technical foundations. Rankings would stagnate, the client would get frustrated, and the agency would recommend more content. Nobody audited the crawl. We left to build something different. From day one, Collective Ltd has operated on a single rule — no SEO recommendations without a technical audit first. That rule sounds obvious, but it runs against the incentive structures of most agencies, where audits are slow and unglamorous and there's pressure to show activity fast. We've resisted that pressure across more than 120 client projects delivered between 2019 and 2024. We are a micro-studio: four analysts and one project coordinator, deliberately small enough that every client gets a senior analyst as their primary contact — not a junior account manager relaying messages. We serve e-commerce businesses, SaaS platforms, professional services firms, and media publishers, primarily in Romania and across the EU. We work in English and Romanian. Our tools include Screaming Frog, Semrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and custom Python scripts for log file analysis — but tools are secondary. What matters is the analyst interpreting the data.
What we're honest about: the limits of what SEO can do
We don't do paid search, social media management, or web development. If you need a rebuilt site, we can advise on SEO architecture and refer you to a developer we trust — but we don't build it. We also don't promise timelines for ranking improvements, because Google's index and your competitive landscape are outside our control. What we can promise is that your audit report will be accurate, your keyword map will be grounded in real demand data, and any link we build will be one we'd be comfortable showing to a Google manual review team. Collective Ltd works best with clients who see SEO as a long-term infrastructure investment rather than a short-term traffic hack. If you need results in four weeks, we're probably not the right fit — and we'll tell you that upfront. We've found that the clients who engage with the audit findings seriously, involve their dev team early, and treat the keyword map as a living document rather than a one-time deliverable are the ones who see the sharpest organic growth over 12 to 18 months. That's the kind of working relationship we look for, and we protect time for it by keeping the studio small and the client list selective.
